Earlier this evening, the Yoti Network Operations Centre (NOC) detected a surge in inbound traffic directed at our Digital Identity, Identity Verification, Age Verification, and Age Estimation services.
Owing to this spike, customers would have experienced intermittent request timeouts and increased latency whilst attempting to access these services.
Our monitoring systems flagged these performance degradations immediately, enabling our engineering teams to pivot to high-priority mitigation.
To restore stability, the Infrastructure team executed a two-pronged response:
