During a routine feature release for the age estimation service, an error rate of 40% was observed for a duration of 5.5 minutes. Affected requests would have received an HTTP 500 status code with an UNSPECIFIED_ERROR code reported in the response body. Affected requests can be retried. The problem has been analysed and understood, so that it can be avoided in future product updates.
